Having Dylan Beattie as a mentor

Just a brief story about me, I started programming when I was 12 years old, in python because I want to discover how the calculator machine works.
Then I went to college, I take a Degree in Software Engineer. But college doesn’t teach, for the real world(I guess it’s the major problem). So I start to work, and I figure out that everything I learn in college wasn’t enough.
I started to do side projects and search for new technologies and how can orchestrate all the technologies. Guess what, … that wasn’t enough to get a nicer job.

Most of the companies don’t give you credit for that. And if they give is way too small.
One day I decided that I need a mentor for helping me, so I start my journey to get a mentor. No Success.

At the time I liked Jon Skeet(C# in Depth was my first contact with Skeet), Dylan Beattie because he is the real rockstar developer and David Fowler. Start watching some videos, follow them on Twitter, start to understand what topic they focus on.

Then I did know that Dylan was coming to Portugal for a conference(NDC). I bought a ticket for the NDC conference. So I can be with Dylan and also know more people and get some knowledge about some topics. But then, I(we) had a problem, COVID-19… The NDC staff notice that the conference will be…
